For the Knitters
Paul Sweater By Kate of Moreca Knit
In Kate's words: Her work is built around fit, restraint, and quietly resolved detail.
Every shaping line, finish, and yarn choice has a reason. I want each design to feel calm to wear, clear to knit, and strong in the final result. Moreca Knit creates for knitters who notice the difference. Not only in how a garment looks, but in how it sits, how it is constructed, and how reliably the pattern holds from first stitch to finished piece.
CONSTRUCTION
The Paul Sweater is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. First, the left and right shoulders are worked separately before being joined into a single piece. After that, stitches are picked up to work the back. Then, stitches are picked up again to work the right and left fronts. German Short Rows are used to ensure a comfortable fit at the shoulders. Once all the parts are completed, they are joined for knitting in the round. Next, stitches are picked up to work the neckline in a 1x1 rib, worked in the round. Finally, the stitches are picked up to work the sleeves in the round.

Saltwind Tee By Sari Nordlund.
Sari Nordlund is a Finnish knitwear designer known for her clean, timeless designs rooted in Scandinavian style and minimalism. Drawing inspiration from architecture, contemporary design, and classic silhouettes, she creates knitting patterns that feel both modern and enduring.
Her work has been widely published internationally and she has collaborated with leading yarn companies. She especially enjoys working with textured stitches, cables, and natural fibers, and aims to design garments that knitters return to year after year—pieces that feel thoughtful, well-balanced, and quietly classic.
CONSTRUCTION
The Saltwind tee is knitted seamlessly top down. The tee is started at the back neck and increased to the full width of the upper back. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders and worked as the front of the tee. The body is worked in the round, while increasing stitches first for the sleeves and later for both the sleeves and the body. Sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and then worked separately in the round.
The Saltwind tee can be worked in either a single strand of DK or light worsted weight yarn or by holding one strand of fingering weight yarn together with a strand of silk mohair.
