Embroidery for Beginners and Beyond - Butterfly Stitch Sampler

In this class you will learn a variety of the most popular embroidery stitches along with more advanced techniques while stitching on the Butterfly Stitch Sampler (designed by Jessica Long). You'll enjoy "drawing" with thread while getting to know the meditative quality of hand stitching. 

The class project includes an extra cut of fabric for beginners to practice on before applying those same stitches to the butterfly design. In class we will guide you through all of the stitches along with tips to round out your embroidery experience. This class is suitable for novice stitchers to those who want to level up their skills.

• Class kit includes: 

  -Aqua fabric, permanently printed with the pattern template, plus a bonus cut of practice fabric printed with stitch names and mini templates.
• -7 colors of DMC embroidery floss (6 full skeins and a smaller measure of blue floss for outlining the wings).
• -A 5 inch wood embroidery hoop.
• -Hand embroidery needles.
• -Color printed embroidery pattern instructions.
• -A copy of the Beginner Guide.
• -A link to the online video tutorials (videos #1 and 2 demonstrate the stitches on the practice fabric, videos #3 and 4 show how to use those same stitches to create the butterfly project).
