Weave A Tote Bag on a Rigid Heddle Loom

Class Level: Advanced beginner
Description: Build your skills as you weave this good-looking and useful market tote. If you’re familiar with weaving basics on your rigid heddle loom, join us for a fun full day class!
Supplies to bring: 
- *Rigid heddle loom with at least 10” weaving width and 10 dpi reed,  all tools for the loom - sley/threading hook, warping peg, clamps, and a shuttle
- measuring tape, 12” x 3” piece of light colored cardboard or manila file folder,
- about 10-15 yards of waste yarn (acrylic works best),
- tapestry needle, scissors, cardboard tube from inside a paper towel roll, 2 brown paper grocery bags, shuttle, sewing needle* and sewing thread to match your yarn,
- yarn (purchase at Wildfiber Studio) 600 yards dk or fingering weight yarn (can be 300 yards each of 2 different colors)
Sample was made with one ball of Louisa Harding Girandola available at Wildfiber Studio.
Looms are provided to use in class (a small rental fee will be charged to take the loom home to finish your project). You may also bring your own loom or purchase one here.

We provide light snacks during class. You are welcome to bring a sack lunch.

Fee: $125 plus materials. Early Bird Sign-Up $100 until January 15.
